About GIEFCU

The Griffith Institute Employees Federal Credit Union (GIEFCU) was established in 1961 by a group of teachers employed by the Griffith Institute Central School District. The  Credit Union was created to allow the employees of the school district access to savings and loan accounts. In 2002, GIEFCU’s field of membership was expanded to include employees of the The Children’s League (previously named Springville League for the Handicapped).

The GIEFCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned and directed by its  members. Because of this, members of the Credit Union have lower loan rates, higher yields on savings, and lower or no fees for our services.

  Summer Hours 2024

Summer hours for the Credit Union begin on June 28th and will last through Labor Day.   We will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and by appointment.   Let us know if you need us to be here at a different day and time.   We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Normal hours resume on Tuesday, September 3rd.
